What a bright time, it's the right time, to rock the night away

I don't know what it is (Actually I do) but I've been utterly obsessing over the 50's 60's and 70's eras a whole lot more than normal. All of my inspiration lately has been coming from everything revolving around these times. I can't listening to Mickey & Sylvia, The Beach Boys, Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Heart...the list goes on. I'm genuinely obsessed. I'm freaking out because it was all so great. Like I can't handle the feeling I get while listening to music from those era's watching movies, looking at videos, pictures..even listening to people share their experiences from their, it's all so much to take in and I absolutely love it.

Now for all of the Christmas related pictures. I'm in love with vintage 70's Christmas pictures. I just spent like an hour browsing through some and you know how people say "A picture tells a thousand words"? Well yes, look at those people. Really look, don't just glance. Stare at them and imagine what it felt like to be them, with their family, around the ones they loved. They look happy. You can stare into their eyes and see pure joy and happiness. I love that. I love that sometimes their really are times where there is nothing to worry about, and maybe it should be like that all the time. Maybe people shouldn't worry at all. It does no good for you, right? Yeah.

To be completely honest today was one of the best Thursdays I've had at school in quite a while. To start things off, it's Holiday week, hence my red & green wardrobe and my reindeer antlers (Thanks Jared). Today was actually our "Deck The Halls" themed spirit day, which means dressing like it's Christmas time to sum it all up. People came (Mostly my leadership program we're all great) decked out in Santa Hats, Red&Green, Reindeer Antlers, Elves, etc. It was pretty perfect. Our school is also really festive and decorated nice for the first time since I've been in high school. It really feels like the Holiday Season there, which is great because I enjoy the Holidays a lot.

Half of the time, it's sunny like it's July, but freezing like it January and I think it's really annoying. I hate sunny but cold weather because it just doesn't feel right. I love gloomy, stormy, freezing cold weather man. That's the best. We haven't got a lot of that yet. Oh California, I love you so, don't you know?

I hope everyone had a great Thursday, xx

Life's too short to even care at all

Okay so I've always had a small love for collaging, but I've recently became so obsessed with it I want to collage literally everything. Sunday I made a mood board to hang on my wall above my bed that took me a few hours but it was so worth it. I also collaged an inspiration book I started feeling with quoutes, pictures, drawings, and journal writes. It's a really nice hobby to have honestly. It's also a good way of turning something plain into something that's fun and exciting looking. I used magazine scraps, old book pages, and random papers I've collected. I'm nearly a hoarder. I feel like nothing should be thrown away that I have because it is all valuable and I could use it one day. If not, I could give it to my sister once she gets older. It's bad, I still have things saved from 3rd grade and below that I just can't part with no matter what.

The weather has been pretty perf lately, considering that I love the rain more than tons of things and it's been raining up a storm (ha!). It actually stormed Friday and Saturday and it started to flood out in the town I live in, which was extremely scary because we live in a flood zone and every winter I'm afraid we'll all flood and die. Not even in a joking way, It scares me so much I don't know what to do.

Luckily, I go to an indoor school unlike most schools in Sacramento.

One funny thing that happened today was, at lunch one of my friends came behind me while I was sitting with my other friends at our table and said "You wanna sell that jacket?" Idk that's probably only funny to me. But this is my fave windbreaker, I can't let it go just yet. *cough*cough h o a r d e r.

I think I'd like to get "Life's too short to even care at all." as a tattoo once I turn 18 because that's probably one of my favorite quotes by far and idk I just love it and live by it. Young The Giant is great guys, check out their music if you haven't already listened to them.

-Happy Tuesday everyone!

Once again a late post that should've been posted earlier this week.
I'm on Thanksgiving break now, so I have more time to blog.
I'm really excited, this break is needed. School was getting extremely hectic.
Senior year is a headache, guys.

Happy Saturday!

Hello my fab readers.
I've recently been sick for the past week and a half which is why I haven't blogged lately. There's this bug going around at my school, which is weird because it's summer. I've never been sick during summer so this was extremely miserable. I didn't know what to do with myself. I'm all better now though thankfully. Hopefully I won't be getting sick anymore this year, but that sounds way too good to be true.

Today was a pretty good day, especially to be a Monday. I'm usually tired and grumpy at school but I was pretty much alive and full of energy all day. I've been excited to come home and look through snapshots and video reviews of New York Fashion Week! I'm especially excited because today is Marc Jacobs show at 7 pm or 7:30 pm I'm pretty sure. He's been my favorite designer since I was 10, and I can't wait to see what he has in store for everyone with this show. As much as I wish I was there, being able to see everything live over the internet is great and I can't complain. Hopefully by next year I will be living in New York way before fashion week so maybe I'll get the chance to be there. That would be a dream come true...an even bigger dream come true would be to showcase my own show there from my own fashion label. One day guys. Watch out for me, I will be there one day, and that's a promise.

My outfit above consists of two of my favorite items of clothing I own. My jean shirt which my best friend Krystal's grandma gave me, and my simple black leather bag from Urban Outfitters which I use pretty frequently. The shorts I'm wearing were actually a pair of my mom's old shorts from Express. I took them in, made them high rise, and added a few studs to give them a little bit of more character. I forgot to post a while ago the bag of earrings my Art teacher from last year gave me. I'll actually incorporate that into one of my posts a different day. But they were a bunch of her old earrings that she thought I would love - which I did love right away. The two I'm wearing came from the ones she's given me. If any of you haven't noticed I wear two different earrings everyday. It kind of just stuck with me since the first time I did it my freshman year of high school.

By the way if you any of you are fans of The Xx and haven't listened to their new album Coexist yet, make a note to do that ASAP it's greaaaaat.

I hope all of your Monday's are moving along perfectly!
Happy Monday!
